LEGAL NOTICE: WADING RIVER FIRE DISTRICT ANNUAL ELECTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Wading River Fire District will take place on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2023 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Wading River Fire House located at 1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York for the purpose of electing the following:
- One (1) Fire District Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing on January 1, 2024 and ending on December 31, 2028.
All duly registered voters residing in the Wading River Fire District shall be eligible to vote. Residents must be registered with the Suffolk County Board of Elections twenty-three (23) days before December 12, 2023 in order to be eligible to vote.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that Candidates for Fire District Commissioner shall file their names in petition form subscribed by 25 qualified voters of the District with the Secretary of the Wading River Fire District at the Fire District Office located at
1503 North Country Road, Wading River, New York no later than November 22, 2023 at 2 pm. Blank petitions are available from the Fire District Secretary. Forms are also available online: www.wadingriverfiredistrict.org
